Mimi Sommers
CEO & Co-Founder

Being a mom, creative entrepreneur, and smart business woman is a powerful combination that led Mimi Sommers to open up DreamTeam Academy in 2017. Mimi and her family moved to Scottsdale from Silicon Valley in 2016 and she had a strong desire to create something new and exciting for her community. Inspired by her young son who loves basketball, Mimi decided to open an all-new, state-of-the-art youth basketball training facility in Scottsdale. She had been looking all around the Valley for just such a place and when she couldn’t find what she was looking for, Mimi Sommers decided to build it for the community!

“Our goal here is not only to help children learn the sport of basketball and become great basketball players, we also want to help teach children how to be kind and caring towards one another and find happiness on and off the basketball court.”
